CHANEL
Our journey with Whippets started in 2014 with my first whippet, Chanel, Sobresalto Yo Mammeta E Tu. Chanel is bred by Annalisa Rovani & Arnaldo Cotugno of Allevemento Sobresalto in Naples, Italy.
Her mother is the very beautiful IT Ch. Sobresalto Ndringhete Ndra "Nenne" and her father The clever Sobresalto Haut Les Mains "Lupin". Together with the help of mentorship and friends, Chanel and I learned the basics of showing a whippet. With the help of Giovanni Liguori of the now Uptempo Whippets, we completed Chanel's Italian Junior Championship & Italian Championship.
In 2016 we moved from sunny Italy, to rainy Belgium. In that time we acquired a new addition who was intended to be our other foundation bitch named Winter Song "Winter". Winter is bred by Giovanni Liguori. Although Winter was a promising puppy, we chose to spare her from motherhood. Winter is kept on our sofa and is a reminder that sometimes plans don't work out. No one is in control of how puppies turn out, no matter the pedigree. This is a simple fact of breeding dogs that is often overlooked by unrealistic expectations.

In 2017 we decided to do our first litter with Chanel.
With what knowledge I had gained and guidance I had been bestowed with from wonderful whippet people and breeders in Europe and across the world, I chose a beautiful dog named Crème Anglaise's Panna Cotta "BONO" who is bred by Jan Willem Akerboom & Kris Akerboom Van Der Schaaf of Creme Anglaise's Whippets. Our litter of 9 beautiful puppies was born May 31, 2017 in the very early hours in the morning. From this litter we kept one bitch: West Chelan Quick Look At Me "POSH"
and one dog: West Chelan Quilted Caviar "BOYFRIEND"
Boyfriend now lives with our very dear friend Vernique Decavele in Belgium. He also lives with his nephew West Chelan Tosh Point Oh, previously called Daniel and now called Alfie

Posh was entered to Crufts in Yearling Bitch Class to Mrs. Zena Thorn Andrews. She was 1st in Yearling Bitch, CC winner (Best Bitch) and Best of Breed by Referee Mr. Frank Kane out of 416 whippets with a total of 488 entries. Later in the large hound group, Posh was placed 2nd by Mr. Frank Kane. Posh is bred by, handled by and owned by us here at West Chelan and is from our very first litter.
